Viscometer of 4mm diameter for measurement of top coat and paint viscosity. Measurement follows after filling the cup with liquid and allowing free outflow through the hole in the bottom. Time of outflow specified in seconds is directly proportional to fluid viscosity. Ford cup is mostly used when preparing paints and top coats for paint spraying with spray gun, where parameter of top coat viscosity is crucial.
